Hazmat Fusion Center Home > RIST
Mission: RISTs are a main component of the National Hazardous Materials Fusion Center. The teams will be deployed to survey hazmat incidents. Information gathered will be analyzed to develop and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, and improve curricula and training materials for the hazardous materials response community.
RIST Update

Teams are now fully operational in each of the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) regions. Surveys are currently being conducted nationwide. From these surveys, informational products are being produced and will be posted for download on our Resources page as they become available.

The success of the Hazmat Fusion Center depends on you! If you’ve had a hazmat incident that has produced valuable lessons learned or smart practices and you would like to share them with other hazmat responders, please contact Amber Wells, awells@iafc.org

Remember: one of our goals is to maintain a multi-disciplined approach to capture a complete picture of the response. These disciplines include, but are not limited to:
