Benefits of Access to Members Only Portal

Access to the Hazmat Fusion Center Members Only Portal is completely free and gives members a wide variety of features including:

  • Access to full RIST reports that contain lessons learned and smart practices extracted from real hazmat incidents surveyed by veteran hazmat responders
  • Forum and bulletin boards where members can ask questions and share expertise (read the Forum User Guide)
  • Alerts of a sensitive nature specifically for hazmat responders

Who is Eligible to Use Members Only Portal?

Individuals that are part of the hazmat response community including, but not limited to, the fire service, law enforcement, EMS, public health, academic institutions, private hazmat industry, regulators, and federal/state/local government may have access to the Members Only Portal.

Benefits of the Incident Reporting System

  • Secure Incident Reporting System for hazmat teams to enter incident reports (read the Incident Reporting System User Guide)
  • Internal data analysis of submitted incidents
  • Ability to print and export submitted incident reports
  • National and regional hazmat trends and statistics are disseminated by the Hazmat Fusion Center based on the incident data captured by all participating hazmat teams.

**Important Note: The Hazmat Fusion Center will NOT have access to jurisdictional identifiable data in your submitted incident reports unless you voluntarily allow them to access that information. The Fusion Center will only use aggregate data in order to produce statistics and trends.**

Who is Eligible to Use the Incident Reporting System?

Any agency that responds to hazmat incidents can use the Incident Reporting System. In order to request access to the Incident Reporting System, the registration form must be completed by someone with authority to make decisions on behalf of the entire team, department, or agency (fire chief, hazmat team leader, etc.) Hazmat Fusion Center staff will verify the submitted information via phone and/or email.
